Traditional pads are 90% plastic and 10% cotton, containing the same amount of plastic as 4 plastic bags in a single menstrual pad. Ruth pads are made from 93% renewable, bio-based materials, including kenaf fibre, bamboo fibre, cellulose, and starch based bioplastic.

We currently have our pads manufactured in India because the natural fibres used in our products are sourced there locally.
